“ OMG!! Now this is what we are talking about, what amazing food!!! The first time we went with a bunch of us after shisha, after midnight.... and it was packed!!!! I was a bit buzzed from shisha - well just like everyone else.. my friends took me to this what they called their local spot!! The first time I had the kebab but all my friends ordered the grilled 1/2 chicken, grilled on top of charcoal!! But the rest of million times I've returned, I only order the charcoal grilled chicken. My lamb kebab was good with lots of meat and quite a bit salad - pretty fresh BUT the charcoal grilled chicken - oh damn....it's AMAZING!! Super juicy and tasty, got the smoky flavor from the charcoal. That was served with rice and salad. It also comes with one spicy and a yogurt dressing... the rice was super tasty... cooked from the roasted chicken stock (they also sell roasted but I HIGHLY recommend you go for the grilled) and some carrots and raisins.. the dressings are very nice - paired very well with salad or even on the meat! It's very busy so be patient waiting for the food, plus they grill the chicken when you order it so it wont be dried out when they serve you... They are usually quite friendly but when they get super slammed please be understanding :) after all you won't be disappointed !!! ”
“ I do agree that Jazera is a great place to eat. I have had their Qabily Pillow, Tandori Mixed Grill and Chicken with Rice (both al-faham and the roast). I enjoyed it much more than other places in Rusholme. I had only one bad experience that the good folks there compensated me for. That was when i ordered a takeaway at a time when the place was extremely crowded - they missed giving me the meat. However, this was compensated on my return six months later. “ This charcoal grill is amazing. For those not fluent in Middle Eastern foods it can seem a tad on the intimidating side. My first visit was punctuated by me pointing randomly at a kofta kebab, as I sat considering what I'd done, it arrived. It was fantastic, the meat was well done on the charcoal grill, along with a big fresh Nan it sat on. To accompany this I had a salad dish with all the great kebab partners such as jalapenos, olives and iceberg lettuce and a little dish of chilli sauce and mint yoghurt. Since this first revelation I've turned to Jalzeera many times and tried all manner of things I don't have a clue about and they've been great. The blokes behind the counter are friendly guys and Jalzeera sits alongside falafel in my long hard considerations for a good takeout meal. Walk in point randomly at the menu and enjoy. ”
